Menofia University

Menoufiya University has been established in 1976, lies in the city of Shebin El-Koom, 72 kilometers away to the north of Cairo. Many

Egyptian and Arab students have been graduated from Menoufiya University. Languages of instruction in Menoufiya University are Arabic & English.

• At the present Menoufiya University has been enlarged to include 18 faculties and institutes:

Agricultural, Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Arts, law, Science, Commerce, Education, Medicine, Home Economics, High Inst. Of Nursing, Liver Institute, Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology Research Institute (GEBRI), Physical Education, Tourism & Hotels, Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Specific Education and Desert Environment Research Institute.

Menoufiya University has now more than 60000 undergraduate students and more than 4000 postgraduate students.

Foreigners who are intending to study at the university have to send their applications to the General Aliens Department, Ministry of Higher Education in Cairo. The university hotels provide accommodation for more than 6000 students (males & females).

Menoufiya University has more than 2000 staff members and assistants and about 5000 technicians, administrators and clerks.

Menoufia University offers educational and research services beside public services to 6 areas in Nile Delta: Menoufiya, Gharbia, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Kaliubia and Sharkia.

The academic year starts in September and ends by the end of June –except the Faculty of Medicine which has special programs & systems-. The academic year is divided into two semesters.

Menoufiya University Mission :

The great part of Menoufiya University Mission is to contribute to the building of man both scientifically and morally. Besides it is doing its building to initiate high-quality services in education and research to rural and new industries communities with the aim of developing knowledge and promoting the local and national community.

To serve this purpose, all the university units and departments must be integrated and adhere to one comprehensive strategy that can act as a guide to all the university policies and activities.

4 Recent Personal Photos:

To be attached to the Original IFMSA Application Forms. Some countries may require an Extra photo e.g. Spain .

4 Copies of the passport:

• 4 Copies of passport pages from 1 to 8.
• The passport should cover the period of the clerkship.
• If you are above 18 years old, You should take a permission from the Obligatory Military Service Authorities before traveling.

SCORP, the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace, is the newest one of the six Standing Committees of IFMSA – Egypt. In Egypt, SCOHP was initiated in 2007 to gather medical students from different universities around Egypt and guide them to share in and advocate for humanitarian issues and promote relevant projects in Egypt.

We are interested in the committee that manages charitable projects .Also in which we cooperate with many charities that are interested in this area.

But we'll take care of projects dealing with human rights, role and rights and duties.

In addition to this will not neglect the attention of charity projects
